Biocraft South East is a specialist Damp and Ventilation contractor based in Reading Berkshire. We offer and install a range of high-quality domestic ventilation services including extract fans, centralised mechanical extract (cMEV) fans and mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems (MVHR). We offer domestic ventilation services the whole home as well as for moisture producing areas of the home such as the kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and W/Cs. We carry out ventilation equipment installation, testing, servicing and commissioning throughout Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey and Oxfordshire.
Why is home ventilation so important
“Without effective ventilation, this moisture can be trapped in the home and turn into condensation, particularly in the winter when surfaces such as walls are cold. The condensation can lead to damp and mould growth which can cause damage to your home and lead to respiratory illnesses for you and your family”.
If the property develops dampness, mould or musty odours, it is likely there is a problem with the ventilation. You should have a specialist damp and ventilation survey to determine the cause of the dampness, mould or musty odours so that you can return your home to a safe and healthy condition as soon as possible.
Installing home ventilation equipment
Our home ventilation installation technicians are all BPEC/NICEIC accredited for the installation of domestic ventilation equipment and will ensure that the installation is carried out safely and in strict accordance with BS7671 (Wiring regulations). Our health and safety system is accredited by SMAS SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) and Citation. We have been installing Nuaire home ventilation equipment for over 20 years and are a Nuaire approved contractor.
The installation of all ventilation equipment requires a safe electrical supplyat the property. This will be checked prior to installation; any additional works such as upgrading the earth bonding will be cleared with the client prior to installation. A minor electrical works certificate will be issued on completion where applicable. Biocraft is registered with the NICEIC as a domestic installer.
As a company, we are unique in the way that we offer a full range of building surveying, repair and restoration services to detect and combat all forms of dampness in residential and commercial buildings. We’re experienced in working on period and modern properties using the latest techniques for drying and restoration as well as tradition methods of restoration. We can carry out on site air flow testing and measurement on home ventilation equipment to determine the performance of existing ventilation equipment.

We install fans from a number of suppliers including Nuaire, Vectaire, Manrose and Vent Axia.
The fans can be wall or ceiling mounted and if required, vented through a roof using a low resistance roof terminal.
